The Comune registers your actual home

Residence registration is handled by the Comune, usually through the Anagrafe. The evidence for an EU citizen can depend on work, study or self-sufficient residence. Follow the list for your municipality and address rather than reusing another city’s form.

ANPR is not the answer to every first move

The national ANPR portal supports online services for eligible cases. A first registration after arriving from abroad can require a different local route. Ask your Comune which service applies before submitting an online declaration.

Keep Codice Fiscale and SSN separate

A Codice Fiscale is an administrative identifier, not a residence permit. Public-health enrollment is handled separately through the relevant health authority and may depend on your work or residence basis. Confirm the responsible office and keep written proof.
